Wind is a natural phenomenon around our life. It is widely used, duringproduction and lives of the human, as a renewable energy. To use wind energybetter we must achieve wind information accurately. Velocity is one of the mostimportant parameters of wind. Measuring accurately can ensure the safety inproduction and living. Wind velocity measurement is used in all areas. This paperpresents a system’s design that based on thermal diffusion while keep powerconstant. With high reliability PIC as processor we designed a new constantpower transmitter according to thermal diffusion principle. The sensor willoutput a weak electric signal when wind velocity changes, after amplified andAD converted, the signal is sent to processor then get the value of wind velocity.The measurement of wind speed is widely used in various fields. However,current measure method has some shortages in measuring range, accuracy andprice. This paper proposes a new method with hot-film, after studying all kindsof related data.This article designs a new hot-film gas flow meter theory based on thermaldiffusion theory. The current problems of gas flow meter are solved includingaccuracy, measuring range, stability, and nonlinear which are based on theanalysis of various types of existing gas flow meter technologies and principles.In this paper, the relationship between wind speed and temperature difference isdetermined on condition of constant power based on the thorough study on theprinciples of thermal diffusion. To ensure the accuracy of the measurement, anew structure of the hot-film gas flow meter is designed, and this new hot-filmgas flow meter is completed with a new modernity structure. In this paper, dataprocessing and accurate amplification of the difference signal in temperatureguarantee a higher resolution of measurement results. The results show that thisconstant power gas flow meter can improve the measurement accuracy, expand the measurement range effectively and provide a new method for gas flowmeasurement.After theoretical analysis and practical verification, we can see that thetransmitter has broad prospects in precision, stability, measurement range, sizeand market value.
