In recent years, permanent magnet synchronous motors become increasinglywidely employed in varies of field, because of its small size, simple structure, lower losses and higher efficiency. Especially after application of the vectorcontrol, the control of PMSM has a high promotion. It is necessary for vectorcontrol to detect current, speed and position of rotor, which will affect the resultof the system in the process of control system. If detection precision is notenough, it will have a big impact on the performance of motor control system. The worst result is that motor doesn’t work, and even burning. The permanent magnet synchronous motor vector control technology isanalysized in this paper which introduces the principle of FIR digital filter, linearphase FIR filter selected structures with symmetry. Based on FPGA the controlsystem of PMSM is designed. According to the control strategy of PMSM, themathematical model is established and the control vector system is adopted. Thesimulation model is built using software platform of Matlab/Simulink to provethe possibility based on Control strategy of speed and current double closed loop.Taking FPGA as control core, motor detection signal processing system isdesigned according to the control system of PMSM. Speed detection, detection ofrotor position and initial position, current detection are included. FIR filter isdesigned in order to detect current accurately using the distribute algorithm.Through a top-down modular design method, the module is divided into severalfunctional units, and each unit is designed by the Verilog HDL language.
