Large-span spatial structure has gradually become an important part of modern civilization and the measure of a country in the construction of science and technology level of important symbol. Large and medium-sized stations, stadiums, industrial workshop and hangar widely used in construction project is of large span space structure, countries around the world have attached great importance to this kind of structure on the theory and technology research, application and development. In earthquake-prone areas of large-span buildings, due to the increase of structural span and of complicated structure, which is the place that people focus or important facilities configuration, once destroyed when the earthquake happened, will cause large injuries or damage inevitably. The current seismic analysis generally considering time effect of the seismic input and ignoring the spatial change effect, the error in the seismic analysis of large span is obvious.Based on the above research and engineering background, the first chapter of this article firstly introduces the multipoint input research background and current situation of the development of this field. The second chapter summarizes three main methods which is commonly used for the seismic analysis of structural seismic force response to multi-support excitations. The third chapter a response spectrum method was proposed for the seismic analysis of structural seismic force response to multi-support excitations. Instead of partitioning the total structural response into the pseudo-static and dynamic components, the absolute displacement formulation was directly utilized in the method and thus the response spectrum combination rule was simplified for multi-support excitations. One numerical example is analyzed and compared with the time history method to show the validity of the proposed method. The fourth chapter compares the new response spectrum method of response spectrum method with the existing multi-support response spectrum method(MSRS) for the response equation and one structural example is analyzed to prove the validity of the proposed method further.
