In hydraulic engineering, in order to carry water or flood waters, hydraulic tunnels often through the excavation become closed aqueduct. According to the task of different, it can be divided into power tunnel, diversion tunnel, spillway tunnel, irrigation tunnel and diversion tunnel. In this paper, the major objective is to design water diversion tunnel for a thermal power plant, its main function is to provide reliable circulating cooling water for the host and the auxiliary equipment. As an engineering designer, plans are discussed through a concrete project, from the basic data comparison and selection of scheme to real-time processing of construction design and construction process, combination theory with practice to solve practical problems, and put forward some innovative ideas.Mainly discusses the content and research:(1) analyze the data of phase two Zhoushan power plant project, and prepare for the design of the diversion tunnel.(2) select thereasonable layout program through the comparison of technical economy layout and construction scheme..(3) analyze of specific project design, the design of blasting design consists of the general body of the cave and intake rock plug the hole shape, through the combination of software design and engineering analogy method, and the underwater rock plug blasting mainly through the engineering analogy design.(4) analyze the tunnel construction method, emphatically analyzes the thought and the problems occurred in actual construction.(5) put forward the " At bottom set the wall and on the top hung the net " new ideas in design and construction of underwater rock plug blasting.
