After the phenomenon of high speed coach-shaking on the Beijing-Shanghai line, Chinese HSR firstly conducted the regulation of bogie parameters in worksite. The long-term survey indicates:the anti-hunting soft restrain successfully solved the question. But the otherquestion that anti-hunting damper elastic contact premature ageing leaved behind. According to the dynamical simulation analysis of the structure moving load characteristics, theincreasing of moving load is one of the reasons that create the premature aging of rubber nodes. And that will probably lead to anti-hunting damper function invalid.Take the motor bogies which after the regulation as object of study, on the premise of small displacement disturbance, the study analyses the anti-hunting damper failure conditions. In view of the different stability state of motor and trailer bogie, adopt the method of linear stability,making a comparison of failure and normal condition.Again to relevant international standards, proceed the safety evaluations of the motor and trailer bogies. To the failure conditions, it is not necessarily to add other technology measures to control the security risk, because the bogie will emerge vibration alarm before the lateral force achieve the safety limitation.Through the above research work can draw the follow conclusions:Accordingtotheassumption of small displacement disturbance,the phenomenon that premature aging probably lead to the function invalid. Therefore, it is necessary to analysis the failure conditionseffect to the stability state and bogie stability. The comparison of bogies stability state indicates:during the period of new or torn-up wheel/rail contact, failure condition has a certain influence on the stability, and itis not disastrous. However, during the period of wheel/rail stablewear and the fast abrasion, stability state will appearsignificant deterioration; the critical speed will rapidly reduce. This make contrast with the issue of small hunting safety was presented by Polach. Fortunately, on the basis of the rule of UIC518, once anti-hunting damper failure, vibration alarm worked because of frame lateral acceleration over range, at that time, axle horizontal force is not over run.
