The moving-magnet linear compressor has a great advantage for having a compact structure, less volume, more power, also is very efficient, which shows a broad application prospect. However, this moving-magnet linear compressor technology has a high requirement and is hard to design. The computational simulation of the key components of the compressor requires designers to master all revevant professional software and project experiences are also needed. Such requirements usually lead to low design efficiency.Currently there is no professional software for the design of moving-magnet linear compressor in this field. How to organically integrate the software secondary development technology with industry’s typical structure, calculation methods, formulas and data so that designers can save more time and energy to focus on design and improve the efficiency has become a main problem in present compressor research field. In this article, we combined professional software like Pro/E、ANSYS、 Ansoft and Fluent with practical needs we designed a software simulation platform dedicated for the design of key components in moving-magnet linear compressor. The field application value is prominent, with appropriate modification this method can also be applied to other similar compressor design. And the main work is listed below.1. The system solution of the software simulation platform for key components of moving-magnet linear compressor.In the light of compressor design’s general engineer needs, the goal of the simulation platform was generated through analysis. According to the moving-magnet linear compressor’s key components’(linear motor, flexure bearing and gas bearing) characteristics and based on domestic and foreign software’s actual function, the appropriate support software was selected to develop the simulation platform. On this foundation, the overall design of an integrated simulation platform was proposed. Then we conducted the feasibility analysis of the simulation platform from the technical, operation and economic aspects, and also pointed out the necessity and feasibility.2. The development of the software simulation platform for key components of moving-magnet linear compressor.We used the Qt and VS2008to design the main interface of the software simulation platform, which indicates the simulation entrance of key parts of moving-magnet linear compressor. We also re-developed the Pro/E software with the Pro/Tookit re-development kit, and achieved the parametric modeling of the Redlich linear motor through modifying the parameters and their relationships. Based on the theory of material mechanics and finite element method, we used the UIDL and APDL to conduct the re-development of ANSYS and completed the parametric analysis of flexure bearing. Based on electronmagnetic theory and finite element method, we used VBScript language to edit macros to carry out the re-development of Ansoft and realize the static and dynamic parametricanalysis of linear motor. Based on the theory of computational fluid dynamic and numerical model, we used journal file to carry out the re-development of Gambit and Fluent and realize the parametric analysis of gas bearing. By writing codes we achieved data sharing and communication between various software and successfully built the moving-magnet linear compressor simulation platform. With the simulation platform, the designer can simulate and analysis a variety of similar structure compressor with simply input the parameters into the special dialog.3. Engineering example verification of the software simulation platform for key components of moving-magnet linear compressor.The correctness and practicability of the key component of the software simulation platform were verified with three engineering examples of the key components of the moving-magnet linear compressor. The simulation platform showed a significant advantage in shortening simulation cycle when compared with the conventional simulation process.
