In this paper, we use the method of sol-gel, with resorcinol (R) and (F) for furfural as raw material, ethanol as solvent, hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA) as catalyst, through ambient pressure and high temperature carbonization and activation technology preparation of carbon aerogel. Solvent in the study of the study of the process parameters such as pH and activation temperature on the influence of the specific surface area of carbon aerogel, At the same time the preparation of carbon aerogel is used as the electric double layer capacitor (Electric Double layer Capacitor, EDLC) of the electrode material, and in30%KOH aqueous solution, using the constant current charge and discharge method, cyclic voltammetry test of carbon aerogel electrode electrochemical behavior. Discusses the capacitance of EDLC features as the change of carbon aerogel preparation conditions of different relationships.The research results show that the pH of different solvents and the activation temperature will be on the specific surface area of carbon aerogels, and the electrochemical behavior of carbon aerogel electrodes. When the activation temperature for a certain, under solvent for weak acid and alkaline environment has the peak value of the specific surface area, and its specific surface area is bigger in alkaline environment; When solvent pH must have its specific surface area with the increase of the activation temperature showed a trend of decrease after the first increase. Specific capacitance of carbon aerogel electrode size along with the change of pH value and the activation temperature of the solvent is shown as:when the activation temperature must, with the augmentation of the alkali, the specific capacitance of carbon aerogel electrode showed a trend of decrease the increase then; When solvent pH must, with the increase of activation temperature, the specific capacitance is presented after the first increased drop trend. If and only if the solvent pH=9and the activation temperature is950℃, specific surface area of carbon aerogel reached a maximum of1288m2/g, carbon aerogel electrode at the same time has the highest specific capacitance for the202F/g.To simulate EDLC carbon aerogel as electrode materials has good charge and discharge properties and cycle performance. Carbon aerogel good cyclic voltammetric curve for the class of rectangular and symmetry, indicate that carbon aerogel electrode has better reversibility, jagged line, charge and discharge curves show good symmetry for typical isosceles triangle, and also explains the carbon aerogel electrode has good charge and discharge performance.
