In the modern shipping manufacture, stainless steel and aluminum alloy welding of two kinds of material used more widely. Laser-arc hybrid welding is an new technology which unites two heat sources with different physical characteristics and energy transfer mechanisms.The new technology can make up for the fault of individual laser process.Except this, the use of The laser-arc hybrid welding brings many advantages such as higher efficiency,higher reliability,lower cost.The raise of the laser-arc hybrid welding is based on the research of arc and laser deeply,not a simple combination of two different things. The development of Laser-arc hybrid welding is benefit for the improvement of tradition technology.This issue takes LF6aluminum alloy and304stainless steel as the object of research, do the experiment of Laser-arc hybrid welding and the test of the welding joint metallographic examination and mechanical. Research the characteristics of Laser-arc hybrid welding, analysis the differences of Laser-arc hybrid welding joint’s mechanical properties, and confirm its effectiveness. Through the experiments we know that comparing with single TIG and Laser welding, the joint of Laser-arc hybrid welding has the better performance.
