Engineering Of A Natural Gas Fueling Station

Natural gas is a high-quality, efficient, clean and economic energy. With the usingnatural gas instead of oil, the construction of natural gas fueling stations is imperative.Comparing with compressed natural gas (CNG), the liquefied natural gas (LNG) has someadvantages, such as large energy density per unit volume, easy to store and ship, big singlefilling range. At the present, it is the sunrise period of LNG stations. In this paper, thesecondary gas stations in a city are as a design object and we have done the feasibility studyreport (preliminary design) as engineering design for them.The engineering design contains market competitive analysis, equipment selection,process design, and economic evaluation. The location and the main target customers werechoose and determined by the market competitive analysis. According to the different targetcustomers, the viability of LNG/L-CNG station scheme was design. The equipment selectionbased on the technical, economic, practical, and convenient maintenance. A new work flowhad been developed. Finally, we have do sensibility analysis to the sales price, operating cost,size and construction investment factors.
