With in-depth advance of the national energy conservation policy, as one ofenergy-intensive industries, the plastic processing industry will face new challenges andopportunities. In the extrusion blow molding process, the costs of drive energy consumptionaccount for more than70%of production costs, while the permanent magnet brushless DCmotor (PMBLDC) has some advantages, such as high starting torque, high efficiency, highpower density, small rotational inertia, control relatively simple and so on, which is consistentwith drive control technology requirements of blowing machine. The use of PMBLDCsubstitution of the traditional asynchronous motors in blowing machine, will greatly promotethe development of blowing machine industry toward energy-efficient andenvironment-friendly direction.Based on the project "the research on the optimization and design of Permanent MagnetBrushless DC motor", and according to the performance technical requirements permanentmagnet brushless DC motor in blowing machine, this paper is mainly done forelectromagnetic design; firstly the background of the topics, development status of the BLDCmotor and special technology requirements of the motor in blowing machine were introduced;then the basic structure and operating principle of PMBLDC were expounded.Secondly, based on ANSYS software, the initial electromagnetic design model ofPMBLDC was built with the method of equivalent magnetic circuit in RMxprt mode, then itsMaxwell2D model was built, and the no-load and full-load performance parameters ofPMBLDC were solved by means of the electromagnetic Finite Element Analysis; then usingthe unequal thickness pole method, the cogging torque ripple of PMBLDC was weakened;and the impacts caused by unequal thickness pole structure on the electromagneticperformances such as cogging torque, air-gap magnetic field, leakage coefficient, and on theload performances, such as speed, torque, phase current, efficiency were analyzed andresearched in detail, finally the influence on the harmonics in air-gap magnetic field areanalyzed by the structure of unequal thickness pole.Then, according to the practical problems encountered in the process of prototypemachining, the Hall sensor installation position of PMBLDC motor was preliminarilyanalyzed and summarized in this paper.Finally, the permanent magnet demagnetization was researched in static electromagnetic field. The impact on the demagnetization performance by the changes of armature current andoperating temperature demagnetization was simulated and analyzed, and anti-demagnetizationtechnology and solutions of Permanent magnet was provided.
