| With the rapid development of country economy and construction, more and more highbuildings are being built. However, the overheating of real estate development in the1990sbrought the sequela——unfinished building, which has became a long-term "heart" for localgovernment, the existence of unfinished building not only affect various eyesores, but alsobeing the blind angle of management, which exists many potential safety hazard. To treatunfinished building, many city governments adopt the practice of blasting demolition, but thiskind of practice is not optimal in the aspect of economy and environmental protection, theutilization and improvement of abandoned and unfinished buildings is an appropriateapproach.Currently, countries generally use the fortification level of "no damage under frequentearthquake, repairable under moderate earthquake, no collapse under severe earthquake" inthe seismic code to ensure the safety of life as the main fortification goal, which exists thefollowing limitations: the firstã€the seismic performance of structures is not clear in the designstage; the secondã€the owners and users are difficult to understand the seismic performance ofstructures; the thirdã€The seismic performance of structures is not used to carry out economicevaluation. This paper puts forward the performance-based seismic design method for thereconstructing design structures, which emphasizes in-depth analysis and demonstration ofperformance goals to be beneficial to adopt different performance objectives and aseismaticmeasures for different seismic fortification intensity, different site conditions and theimportance of structural components.Firstly, this paper describes the development of the seismic reinforcement field andpresent situation of the performance-based seismic design method. Secondly, the theoreticalbasis, implementation method and key issues of elastic-plasticity analysis method areintroduced. Thirdly, it summarizes the working procedure of reconstructing design anddiscusses several problems which should be concerned. Finally, one reconstruction project atFoshan of Guangdong is taken as an example, the project profile is shortly introduced,reasonable reinforcing design measures and reinforcing scheme of structural components areput forward. According to the performance-based seismic design concept, the macro target of story drift ratio and the micro target of deformation to structural components are put forward,Elastic analysis of the structure is carried out by PKPM. Both elastic-plastic static pushoveranalysis and dynamic time history analysis are carried out by PERFORM-3D. Hereby,whether the performance targets of entire structure and structural components are reached isresearched, it also discusses the feasibility of this approach——with the help of seismicperformance-based design to solve lack of seismic construction measures for the keycomponents to resist lateral force which need to reinforce. |
