Mixing combustion of double liquid fuel is a new method of combustion, and an exploration of energy utilization, which can provide a case study and some theoretical foundation for mixing applications of high calorific value fuel and low calorific value fuel. Methanol-based fuel had wide source and low cost, waste cooking oil have high calorific value and is harmful to human body, so the mixing combustion of methanol-based fuel and waste cooking oil can solve the hazard caused by waste cooking oil and achieve the rational utilization of energy.Use both theoretical and experimental methods to study mixing combustion of bi-liquid fuel, for in view of no study on mixing combustion of double liquid fuel has been published. Based on commercial kitchens stove, liquid fuel swirl burner, fuel and combustion air supply system were designed, and mixing combustion test bench was built. A series mixing combustion test has been done on the test bench, flame temperature, thermal efficiency, noxious gases emission has been measured, which prove mixing combustion is feasible and help to energy-saving emission reduction. Mathematical model for calculating thermal efficiency has been established, and use that mathematical model calculated the thermal efficiency of mixing combustion of methanol-based fuel and waste cooking oil, the results is agreement with experimental results, which proved the validity of the mathematical model. The regulation of thermal efficiency with three factors:fuel mass ratio, power, air excess coefficient, has been analyzed. The Mixing combustion system of double liquid fuel has been optimized, in order to obtain the maximum effective heat per unit prices, optimization results show that the best fuel mass ratio of mixing combustion of methanol-based fuel and waste cooking oil is0.21, when air excess coefficient is1.2and power is35kW.The Mixing combustion system of double liquid fuel provide a reference for industrial applications, and it can be directly applied to commercial kitchens stove.
