Abstract:With the development of science and technology, modern industry raises higher requirements for machinery equipment. As a universal part for connection and power transmission, gearbox is widely used in a variety of modern machinery and equipments. Due to its complex structure and poor working condition, gearbox is vulnerable to damage. To identify gearbox fault effectively, and to determine the degree and location, and then to predict the expansion trend and remaining life will make it possible to maintain and replace the gearbox in time and avoid accidents. In a word, the gearbox fault diagnosis has important economic value and social significance. As an advanced signal processing tool, Wavelet Analysis is a fast-growing branch of the current field of mathematics, which has been applied in many engineering fields. This paper focuses on the specific application of Wavelet Analysis in gearbox fault diagnosis, and analyzes the theory and application examples, mainly reflected in:Firstly, the development of the gearbox fault diagnosis is summarized, and the forming process of the Wavelet Analysis theory is reviewed. The paper pointed out that the Wavelet Analysis is an important method for mechanical fault diagnosis and signal processing.Secondly, the typical fault characteristic and the noise transmission mechanism are studied, and the mathematical model is established. Then, the spectral characteristics of gearbox noise related to some typical faults are discussed. Through the analysis and comparison of signal processing methods which are commonly used, their advantages and disadvantages are discussed.Thirdly, the basic theory of Wavelet Analysis is reviewed and concluded. Through the study of the characteristics of the noise signal under fault condition, a fault diagnosis algorithm based on Wavelet Analysis is put forward. And the practicability of the algorithm in denoising, feature extraction, and envelope demodulation is demonstrated. In order to improve the attenuation performance of Harmonic Wavelet, the Gaussian Harmonic Wavelet is constructed, and the demodulation algorithm based on Gaussian Harmonic Wavelet is proposed.Finally, the noise signal of CAS5-20gearbox is analyzed. The fault feature is extracted. At the same time,the location and cause of the fault is determined, which proves the effectiveness of the algorithm.There are67figures and78references.
