Marine thermal protective structure is composite sandwich structure containing shipplate, heat insulation materials and decoration materials, because of this structure laid on thesurface of service hull steel structure surface, did not change bearing mechanics structure ofthe hull, but boost the thermal protective function and adornment environment of the originalstructure. The overall structure characteristics are high strength, light weight, fire prevention,sound insulation, heat insulation, heat preservation, beautiful decoration, etc excellent sex andcan be widely used in aerospace field, ship industry (military vessels, civilian ships,submarines), construction field. Now the ship fireproofing got great attentionand at the sametime, many domestic and foreign scholars on the thermal protective structure have donemassive researches, such as fireproof paint, silicate, the aerogel, etc. Which are commonlyused now. Areas of research connected with structure of the heat transfer analysis, material offire rating, ship applicability analysis and so on, but to the thermal protection it-selfpracticability it can’t give dual attention to the fire retardant fire rating and occupy a space rateand quality specific gravity. Therefore, this article pay close attention to thermal protectivestructure which is characterized of lightweight, small space, high fire rating as the researchobject. Author refer to different national fireproof standards at home and abroad andcalculate the theoretical result, test and simulate the fire rating of new type of thermalprotective structure in the paper and study practicality, getting good results. Respectively bymeans of theory, experiment and simulation for the corresponding verify. The result showsthat the new type of thermal protective structure thermodynamic performance evaluationmethod is accurate, theory and experimental results relative error is within10%, these provein the engineering experimental analysis of new type of thermal protective structure isfeasibility. Specific content is as follows:1. The new thermal protective structure combined with Europe and Britain existing firestandard theory and combined with Eurocode3, Melinek and Thomas two fire model formula.Deducted the thermal conductivity and thermal parameters for the new type of thermalprotective structure, and summarized research of the heat conduction of the new type ofthermal protective structure are reviewed in this paper.2. The high temperature fire resistance of the new thermal protective structure is tested. Get relationship of facing fire laying and the back fire layer temperature changes with time ofnew thermal protective structure experimental plate in high temperature environment.Through the five steps of temperature loading get corresponding new thermal protectivestructure numerical heat transfer value, this paper analyzes the value and can get new thermalprotective structure fire rating and thermal conductivity. The experimental results show thatthe new thermal protective structure reaches up to marine A60standards, having heat lowtransfer rate, high fire insulation performance3. based on finite element simulation analysis software ANSYS8.0the thermal insulationperformance new thermal protective structure is simulated, the results match well with theexperimental results, that prove the process of simulation is the correct, further optimize thesize of new thermal protective structure and estimate the space occupancy and lightweight ofnew thermal protective structure.4. New thermal protective structure surface panel strength test and the whole boardstructure impact test are progressed. Firstly, static normal temperature and high temperaturecompression test is progressed, get relationship of pressure load with surface loading coredeformation of specimen in the static compression load the action of failure mode. Secondly,according to the static compression experiment on the basis of the new type of thermalprotective structure the falling ball impact tests in different height are progressed, Obtainingthe corresponding energy absorption characteristics. Impact experimental results show that thenew thermal protective structure is good.
