It is a new reinforcement technology that buildings reinforced by s teel fibercement mortar and steel mesh. It comes out with the new material. Due to the joiningof steel fiber, it is good enough to improve some of the shortcomings of thetraditional cement mortar reinforcement. At the same time, steel fiber can play itsown characteristics. This reinforcement method had many advantages, for example:after reinforcement, it can be collaborative with the original structure and workingwith it together. Compared with the traditional method of reinforcement, it also hasits own characteristics. Such as: durability, fire resistance, the construction processis simple, and so on. As a result, this reinforcement method needs to be studiedcarefully. In the future, it will be able to serve the people of the whole society better. It is suitable for a wide range of reinforcement because of its advantages.Furthermore, it also can be used to the concrete structure and brick structure widely.Because of the similar mechanical performance, this thesis chooses the overhangingbeams to simulate the continuous beams in practical projects. This thesis analyses the shear capacity, failure form, inclined cracks, deflectionand strain development of the experimental beams based on the comparison of theshear test of two general beams and two beams strengthened by steel fiber cementmortar. Huge amounts of experiment data under two different shear span ratio hasbeen analyzed to find out the influence of the shear span ratio to experiment beams.Different factors of the overhanging beams after reinforce ment have beenanalyzed through the experimental date. Draw on the experience of the existing code, the similar formula has been given. Then, the results of the formula will becompared with the test results. Finally, modeling and analyzing through thenon-linear finite element analysis software ABAQUS has been carried on to validatethe effect of this reinforcement method.
