The application of the jointless bridge can effectively relieve the jumping andmaintenance costs of the expansion joints bridge, so more and more foreign newbridges use this kind of bridge structure. Based on the study of the jointless bridgeabroad, Hunan University jointless bridge group proposed a new semi-integraljointless bridge structure, which replaces the expansion joints of bridge and the jointbetween road and bridge structure. The stretching deformation of the beam isabsorbed by the reinforced approach pavement. There is a series of advantages such ascomfort driving, durability, low maintenance costs and good seismic performance byusing the innovative jointless bridges. Therefore, the study of the workingperformance of new semi-integral jointless bridge by the post-construction settlementbehind abutment and puts forward effective measures after the structure optimizationare of great significance. In this paper, the main work and conclusions are as follows:(1) The relevant research at home and abroad on the settlement of release ofjointless bridge and measures both at home and abroad on the structure behind theabutment are introduced, the important significance of jointless bridge structuredurability optimization jointless bridge is expounded.(2) According to the data of the innovative jointless bridges that has been built inChina, analysis on the performance of the jointless bridge and the deformation forceof the jointless bridge under temperature variation with the aid of the finite elementtool. To demonstrate the jointless bridge approach pavement can effectively absorbthe beam body temperature deformation can ensure the effective working jointlessbridges. It is also find that settlement have a certain influence on jointless girderstress, the approach pavement with effects only in a range.(3) To get the main stress performance by comparing with hinge jointsconnecting road full jointless bridge and no hinge joints connecting road full jointlessbridge in different sleeper slab settings and different settlement, description of theforce and driving comfort, sleeper slab set in between the slab and reinforcedapproach pavement in full jointless bridge structure is the best choice. Then the forceperformance by means of the finite element model is established to simulate the soilcompaction after transverse non-uniform model under vehicle load jointless bridge. (4) According to the innovative jointless Bridges that has been built in China,combined with the monitoring settlement and stress data in recent years, studying andanalysis of the status of the innovative jointless bridges that has been built. Andstudying the innovative jointless bridge by combining the bridge finite elementsimulation results with the bridge monitoring data.The research above established the theoretical principle for the application of theinnovative jointless bridge. And it illustrates the innovative jointless bridge improvesthe force characteristics of the structure, which can be widely used in the future.
