Pipe jacking work shafts are places for all Jacking equipments. They are not onlythe origins of the Top tubes boring machines or Tools pipes, but also structures thatwithstand Reaction force of the Top of the main cylinder. Therefore, the security andstability of the Pipe jacking work shafts are related to the success or failure of theentire Pipe jacking construction. At present, Design Manual calculation of Pipejacking work shafts are based on the plane assumed, considering the Horizontal topedge just by calculating the Earth pressure balance conditions for simple checking. Sothere is a big gap between calculated results and the actual situation, and the furtheroptimal design is barely mentioned.On the background of a municipal underpass rectangular pipe jacking project,this thesis focus on using numerical methods to further deepen the study of thestructure, oil space force and deformation characteristics of rectangular pipe jackingwork shaft, which is based on related result about analysis of pipe jacking work shaft.Specifical content as follows:1. Establishing a three-dimensional finite element model analyzes work shaft structure,soil space force and deformation characteristics, and make a comparative analysisbetween the force and deformation behaviour of work shaft excavation and horizontaltop edge withstanding phase.2. According to the horizontal top force of soil force and deformation characteristics,the thesis analyzes and discusses of the soil resistance distribution pattern.3. Make a multivariate system analysis about the security and stability of the workshaft by orthogonal design and get the interaction relationship between theseparameters.The pioneering research in this thesis focus on: firstly, make a comparativeanalysis between the force and deformation behaviour of work shaft excavation andhorizontal top edge withstanding phase; Secondly, put forward a new soil resistancecalculation method; Thirdly, get the interaction relationship between security andstability parameters of the work shaft.
