The plastic cap nails is mainly used for building insulation fixed, wooden housingconstruction, interior decoration and so on. Plastic cap nails is widely used for social needs,but it’s price is low. For these reasons which have mentioned above, at present, indomestic, the assembly work of the plastic cap nails mainly rely on manual operation, andforeign research is only a little as well. The low manual assembly efficiency, the shortwork time, the high cost of labor, all of these reasons lead ultimately benefits rarely lessCangZhou, Tianjin and other places of our country, there are many such enterprises, theproduction of plastic cap nails exports to the United States, Europe, Africa, the Middle Eastand Southeast Asia and other countries, the annual export volume of up to several hundredtons which is important to China’s export.In order to improve the production status of theplastic cap nails, the design and research of Automatic assembly system of the plastic capnails will have great research value. With a large number of references and careful study ofthe fixed component of the insulation by the query, and according to its production process,automated assembly is the last link which is the most important part,in this paper,automatic assembly part will be detailed study and design.At first, in the design, the structure and characteristic of the two composed parts(thread steel nail and dish shaped of the plastic cap was studied about the plastic cap nails,the form of the assembly about the plastic cap nails was studied, two. By comparing thethree scenarios, the eventual adoption is the principle of pneumatic press and assembly, atthe same time,8-routes assembly method is used, the automatic assembly efficiencyincreased to360units/sec. According to the pressure force required in the assembly basedon the plastic cap nails,designed and calculated for the pneumatic loop system.For the design of the mechanical structure and key parts of pressing machine, computer aided design software Pro/Engineer is used, and with the establishment of3D model which improves the design efficiency and reduces the cost of research and development. In workingprocess, the pressing machine loaded vibration by certain frequency, it uses the professional finite element analysis software ANSYS to do the modal analysis to the pressing machineand the working table,I get the conclusion that the natural frequency of the frame and theworking table is far greater than the vibration frequency so the resonance phenomenon does not occur. In addition, the most important part in the pressing machine, the stamping rod directly executes assembly action under cyclic impact load in the working process, the calculation of the fatigue life was got by ANSYS, meanwhile, it can calculate the punching rodfor infinite life to meet the use requirements. After the design of the parts is completed, before processing, the virtual assembly and motion simulation of pressing machine is put intouse, and the nail tube and dowel assembly position between the bowl was determined thro-ugh the orthogonal experiment method.The design of automatic pressure machine, automated assembly systems for plasticcap nails plays a decisive role to success.The completion of this design, the assemblyefficiency of the fixed the insulation board is increased to360units/sec, which is about20times the manual. plastic cap nails substantial increases the production enterprisesefficiency of China’s export.
