Recently, with the diversify of the structure and the complication of the layout inhorizontal plan, a new kind of structure named skew structure that the irregular layoutin horizontal plan of its lateral resistances appears, and the angles of the lateralsresistances are between15and75. Skew structure that this paper studies iscombined with frames, shear walls and thin walled core. For the design and theanalysis, the first problem is to deal with the calm force, but sometimes, destroycaused by the motive force load is fatal, which is the major cause to the destroy.Especially, destroy of the structure caused by the earthquake is threaten to thepeople’s life and the property’s safe. Therefore, the dynamic analysis to skewstructure has an important engineering significance. This paper adopts the consistency theory of thin-walled members restrainedtorsion, regards skew structure as cross-section thin-walled members combined withframes, shear walls and thin walled core under the assumption of rigid floor andcontinuous, considers its bending, shear and torsion deformation. Based on theHamiltonian system and the precise integration method, Lagrange equation isintroduced according to the total potential energy of structures. This paper introducesthe dual variable, which leads the question from the Lagrange system to the Hamiltondual system, then establishes the Hamilton dual equation for the analysis of thestructure. The interval mixed energy matrix is introduced which is based on theprecise integration method of the double end boundary value problems, the layerelement stiffness matrixes are introduced according to the relationship of thegeneralized forces and generalized displacements, and the global stiffness matrix ofstructures can be established according to the finite element displacement principle. The mass matrix of the entire structure is formed by the lumped mass method.Damping matrix is the Rayleigh damping. When determining the two constants, thispaper uses the method of precise integration of eigenvalue counting theory for the twoends eigenvalue problem to calculate the circular frequency by the development of theMATLAB program, then substitutes them into the expression of formula. The preciseintegration method of initial value problems is used to solve the dynamic equation. Finally, vibration characteristic analysis and dynamic time history analysis are analyzed through examples of skew structure. The results show that the method of thispaper is correct and feasibale. In short, the study of this paper has an engineeringsignificance for the engineering seismic design.
