Wind power has attracted extensive attention, as a booming new energy resources. The power electronics is critical for improving the property of wind power generation system, as the effective interface between wind turbine and grid.Based on the characteristic analysis of DFIG and DDPMSG wind power generation, it introduces the loss and efficiency optimization problem of DFIG and DDPMSG in detail. The main circuit of two-level and three-level converters are designed, then the loss breakdown models of the wind power converters are built. The comparation of two kinds of converter are made at the rated wind speed, so that finding the advantage. Then the property of DDPSMG and DFIG wind power generation system is compared.Silicon carbide (SiC) power electronics have good application prospects, since it has several advantages, such as superior voltage blocking capabilities, high temperature tolerance and fast switching speeds. The2MW wind power system based on SiC power electronics are analyzed, and compared with Si IGBT two-level and three-level Neutral-Point-Clamped (NPC) converter in efficiency.
