With the improvement of industrialized, People’s demand for electricity isincreasing year by year. Therefore, it becomes a problem that how to guarantee thenormal power supply is very concerned by electric power maintenance staff.However, there are many factors that can affect the normal supply of electric. Andoverheating of cable joint occupies quite a few proportion in the factors that affectelectric normal supply. So it is very important to monitor the temperature of cablejoint.In this thesis, studying cable joint temperature, being based on fiber Bragggrating temperature sensor and combining the theory of embedded system, usingZigBee wireless network communication technology, we set up the network formonitor cable joint temperature and realize it.The ZigBee mesh network topology structures were used to set up the cablejoint temperature online monitoring system hardware platform, and to design themonitoring nodes, the router and the coordinator of hardware circuit separately. Thecircuit design is mainly based on microprocessor CC2530control chip and theCC2591as power amplifier chip,and insulation type optical fiber grating temperaturesensor YT-PL-01-3000for temperature data acquisition devices,12parallel outputADS801as modulus conversion chip. And the current/voltage conversion circuit assame as to be designed. In terms of monitoring system software, working process ofthe monitoring node, routers, coordinator and the upper machine were designed, andwith the help of virtual instrument Labview to design PC interface.On basis of the monitoring system hardware platform, using fixed thresholddetection algorithm and the rate of change of temperature detection algorithm, weanalyze the data of cable joint temperature, and checking the cable joint runningstatus in the area of monitoring region at different date level. Using kalman forecastalgorithm for cable joint temperature prediction and early warning in order to provide electricity maintenance personnel more time to deal with electricityemergencies, and establishing the mathematical model is used to estimate thetemperature, and using MATLAB software to simulate it. The result of simulationshows that kalman filter algorithm can forecast the future temperature of cable jointaccording to the current temperature, it not only can make the cable joint temperaturein real time to be monitored, but also the temperature of cable joint to be more earlyforecasted. Finally, design of alarm rules was done base on the three kinds ofalgorithm, so that the cable joint temperature alarm can work accurately and timely.It provides technical support for electric power maintenance personnel, and electricpower system can be maintained timely and work normally.
