With the identification and tracking algorithm on the target having widespread attention of developing countries and the majority scholars over the years, it has a great potential in both military or civilian areas. At the same time, we also put forward higher requirements for the target identification and tracking technology This paper mainly studies target recognition and tracking algorithms on unmanned aircraft.Through the analysis of the algorithm, an improved optimization method has been taken which makes the target identification and tracking on unmanned aircraft more efficient and more accurate.This paper is based on the order to target identification and tracking, from the beginning of image acquisition, image pre-processing, image target recognition algorithm research, image target tracking algorithm research, with the research methods to design a complete target identification and tracking system with experimentally verified method.We have improved the conventional median filter in the preprocessing of the image and have optimized the algorithms to achieve improvement of filtering effect. We have done the image sharpening repair to the blurring of the edges of the image caused by the filter. We try to ensure the integrity of the characteristics of the image information. In recognition of the image, initially the author research and analysis several common identifying methods and summarizes advantages and disadvantages of these methods. Finally we optimize the treatment confirmation of the mean shift algorithm, so that the image segmentation and target detection has a superior effect. Mean Shift algorithm is an effective statistical iterative algorithm which has been widely used in the cluster analysis, tracking, image segmentation, image smoothing, filtering, image edge extraction and information fusion and so on. Therefore, in this paper, we choose optional mean shift algorithm to track the target for the same tracking target, combined with the practical application appears far and near target size change phenomenon, a tracking window adaptive mode is mentioned.Combined with the above selected and improved target identification and tracking algorithm, using VC technology, we design a target identification and tracking system based on DM6437-355to verify the identification of the tracking algorithm by several groups of different scenarios obtained in repeated experiments the results can be seen, not only can design improved methods for accurate target identification and tracking, but also to overcome the complex environmental changes, such as complex background of target identification and tracking; when the target deformation and tumbling motion process occurs, we take target identification and tracking.Target recognition and tracking algorithm proposed in this paper overcomes the traditional target tracking algorithm to identify some flaws, complex environmental changes occur is still able to accurately identify and track the target, this algorithm has a good development and wider application.
