Abstract/Summary:
Reinforced concrete structure will have a significant impact on the structurestability and durability and reduce the service life of the structure greatly in the use ofthe process, due to steel corrosion. Fiber reinforced plastic (FRP steel)which is a newtype of composite material and has the advantages of light weight, high strength, goodcorrosion resistance, fatigue resistance etc., using it to replace the steel structure, cancompletely solve the corrosion of steel. Because the reinforced and FRP bars are twodifferent materials, so mechanical properties of FRP bars and steel bars and applicationin concrete structure will have very big difference, therefore it is necessary to study onproperties of FRP steel.Combining experiments on properties of FRP-reinforced, high strength steel, aswell as in-depth research on performance of concrete beams, concrete contents include:(1) understand the basic properties of FRP bars, design tests on connections andmechanical properties of GFRP bars for further research.(2) test on reinforced, primarily analysis of different diameter steel under differentloading rate experiments.(3) select FRP bars, high strength steel, ordinary steel to measure its tensileproperties, and comparison of test results.(4) design concrete beams, three-point bending test, analyzing test results.(5) according to the test data that you already know, in conjunction with therelevant formula to calculate the flexural bearing capacity of GFRP-reinforced concretebeams, and comparisons with experimental values.Through in-depth study of FRP bars, we are more aware of the performance ofFRP bars. Given the performance of FRP bars are in many ways is superior to steel, canbe used instead of steel bar in reinforced concrete structure to address issues such assteel corrosion, can also make use of its good self perception of performance to securitymonitoring for major projects.
