In recent years,with the development of economy, increasing high-rise buildingsand super high-rise buildings has been built. Meanwhile underground constructionsuch as underground shopping centers、underground garages have been used widely.More and more individuals have paid close attention to the crack caused by backfill.Within this paper, the objects are to analyzethe influence on structure caused by outsidebackfill and figure out reasonable backfill technology. To achieve these goals, theresearch has been conduct in different working conditions of outside basement backfill,according to theoretical analysis SAP2000and ANSYS、specific project survey、engineering accident analysis and finite element software.Firstly, after investigating numerous cases of basement backfill, several differentworking conditions of outside basement backfill were presented. Otherwise, the conceptof ‘balance backfill and imbalance backfill’ was proposed, which provided foundationof research on the influence of basement crack caused by backfill.Secondly, the analysis of foundation restraint was conduct in the normal servicecondition and unbackfilled basement condition.Andthe calculation method offoundation restraint condition generated by foundation soil was put forward in theprocess of finite element software simulation, on the basis of different foundation formsand different foundation conditions.Thirdly, considering different conditions of outside backfill and using SAP2000finite element software to simulate the influence of different backfill styles onunderground structure as well as analyzing contrastively displacement of undergroundstructure and lateral displacement of floor-to-floor created by balance backfill andimbalance backfill, and the structure size for variable analysis, the boundary size whichhas impact on structure was obtained with variable analysis of structure size.Next, based on the engineering accident of He Huang Xiao Gang, using ANSYSfinite element software to simulate the position and direction of garage roof crack, thein-depth study of accident reasons was carried out. Then the reasonable construction technology of outside foundation pit backfill was put forward.Lastly, after analyzing influence of outside basement backfill to structureoverturning on slope, the computational formula of structure overturning was achievedin order to calculate boundary size when only upside basement backfill.To conclude, different backfill styles had obviously different influence onunderground structure. To different construction conditions, reasonable constructiontechnology of outside basement backfill should be applied.
