The sealing technology and efficiency of aircraft engine is the main index of engine performance, the sealing material is the key of performance and service life of the sealing device, the sealing material’s friction and wear performance of sealing device are the important factors of reliability, service life, working ability, sealing performance of contact type sealing device.This article mainly aims at contact seal by the use of the M210graphite sealing material and hard chromium coat of aircraft engine in high temperature friction and wear tests and the tests results’analyze and research. High temperature friction and wear test by using the HT-1000high temperature friction and wear testing machine, with M210graphite pin for sliding parts, hard chromium coating metal disc for grinding parts. The three conditions of the tests, load, sliding speed and temperature, for each test condition from eight levels, so choose the uniform design method to design the tests and complement of single factor tests, according to the aviation engine working state complement the continuous change of temperature test. Get friction coefficient data and the line drawings with time changing, use electronic balance to measure and calculate M210graphite pins’wear, after friction and wear tests take the M210graphite pins to do SEM electron microscopy on friction and wear test friction surface to comparative analysis, the surface morphology changes and the mechanism of friction and wear.Based on the friction and wear performance tests of M210graphite sealing material and hard chromium coating metal disc, research the friction coefficient of variation of load, sliding speed, and temperature on sealing material for wear and friction coefficient, analyze the M210graphite sealing material wear mechanism. Using the gray theory and regression analysis on the experimental data of single factor and multiple factors for simulation and prediction, establish M210graphite sealing material friction and wear database for aircraft engine seal design to provide test data, through optimization, improve the reliability and service life of sealing material. Aircraft engine sealing material tribological properties based on gray system theory and regression analysis for simulation and prediction can provide the basic data for engineering design and application.
