The doubly fed hydrogenerator is a AC excitation hydroelectric equipmentwhich is suitable for situations of large head change. In recent years, the research ondoubly fed hydrogenerator mainly focuses on the control system composition andcontrol strategy which does not fully carry on analytical investigation to the internalfluid and thermal property. Therefore, based on the basic theory of electrical motor,computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer, synergy analysis on the law of fluidrheological properties in the generator, it has important theoretical value andpractical significance to reveal the mechanism of action, the influence andinfluencing degree among the different parameters within the generator. Based onthese, this paper carried out the corresponding analysis which mainly for thefollowing.According to the ventilation structure characteristic of doubly-fedhydro-generator, taking the fluid field of axial single radial ventilation of thegenerator as the research object, and the model of fluid field is established on thebasis of fundamental assumptions. On the basic of3dimension Navier-Stokesequations and fluid mechanics governing equation such as k εect, the fluidrheological properties within different region is numerical studied by using finitevolume method, and the wind friction loss of motor was calculated.The separatingcalculation of mechanical loss was realized. The accuracy of the calculation wasvalidated through comparative analysis of the experimental data and wind frictionloss sensitivity factors was analyzed.Taking the fluid field that in the whole region of the doubly fed hydrogeneratoras the research object, the related factors such as the structure, size, shape andamount of the radial ventilation channel for generator stator and rotor whichinfluence the fluid flow pattern inside generator were simulated and analyzed, andthe fluid field under different combination of the radial ventilation channel forgenerator stator and rotor were simulated and analyzed also. The related factors on the influence of the fluid field within the generator and the influencing degree werestudied.
