ABSTRACT:Track circuit can transmit train movement authority and check the track occupancy. The primary parameter of track circuit determines the performance of the transmission. And ballastless track is widely used now, its primary parameter changes a lot contrast with the ballasted track one. The transmission of information is affect by this. The primary parameter of track circuit is easily affected by surrounding environment. The rules of the primary parameter change can’t be calculated by the previous research, so it is very meaningful to study the primary parameter of track circuit based on electromagnetic field theory.This thesis’s prime work is as follow:1. Modeling and simulation of track circuitUsing Maxwell3D software, the model of ballasted track and ballastless track is established. By analyzing the near-field magnetic field strength and internal impedance of the rail, the simulation results are consistent with the theoretical results. The correctness of the model is verified.2. Calculation of the primary parameterCalculation principium of the primary parameter is achieved by analyzing the distributing of the primary parameter. The primary parameter of track circuit is calculated and then the difference of ballasted track and ballastless track primary parameter is contrasted with each other.3. Analyzing the rules of the primary parameter change and Optimizing ballastless track primary parameterThe primary parameter is caculated with changing the relative permeability and conductance of the surrounding environment. The change of primary parameter of the ballasted track and ballastless track with the environment is analyzed. The optimizing methods are achieved by analyzing the change of the primary parameter. The ballastless track is simulated after increasing the distance between rail and steel mesh or insulating the rebar to validate the impact of the method.4. Analyzing track circuit with compensation capacitorUsing FEKO software, the model of track circuit with compensation capacitor is established. Then the ballastless track with compensation capacitor is simulated with the optimizing method. The simulating results show that optimizing the ballastless track can reduce the mutual inductance effect between the rail and steel mesh to ensure the transmission of the signal.
