The distresses of highway roadbase and subbase in Zhejiang province are re especially serious because of rainy climatic condition, higher water lever and soft soil subgrade, heavy traffic. However the traditional reinforcement techniques are difficult for the requirement of performance and economy. The mechanics, the applicable conditions, grouting materials and construction technology of grouting reinforcement techniques for rapid reinforcement of highway roadbase and subbase were studied fully.First, based on the experiments of grouting reinforcement materials, research determined the specifications and requirements of grouting materials,and the stability of grouting material under different soil condition was evaluated.Then, combining with theoretical analysis, we determined the grouting parameters and construction technology, and tested in the engineering.Lastly, according to the analyses of mechanical response test, beckman beam deflection test and falling weight deflection instrument FWD.test on the road surface before and after grouting, we can see that the road pavement structure bearing capacity and overall strength has improved significantly. Grouting reinforcement theory model is set up, with the mechanical analysis and forecast on road servicing life, the results showed that grouting technology can greatly improve the road life.Based on the investigation and analysis, laboratory experimental, theoretical calculation and field testing, the feasibility and applicable conditions of grouting reinforcement techniques for rapid reinforcement of highway roadbase and subbase were developed. The key techniques of grouting reinforcement were put forward. Associating with the engineering application in Pingli Road, some important progresses are made.
