| In recent years, there appear a large number of deep foundation pit projects in the infrastructure construction of China, and most of them need to be supportted. Steel sheet pile has become one of the common support method for its advantages over other methods, such as convenient and fast construction, good sealing performance. This paper mainly focus on the structural design and numerical simulation of steel pile foundation pit support structure. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, the classification, applications, construction methods of steel sheet pile and problems that need attention in the construction are introduced.Secondly, the structural design method of steel sheet pit pile foundation is summarized. The mechanical model can be established according to the actual stress state. The actual stress and stability of the supporting structure is determined through theoretical calculation to ensure the accuracy and securityFinally, based on a foundation pit excavation for municipal road drains, the excavation process, such as the lateral shift of foundation pit supporting, the land settlement of surrounding soils and the rebound of foundation-pit bottom is simulated.The Coulomb-Mohr model is adapted in using the software FLAC3D to simulate the excavation process. It can provide some reference for the actual excavating deformation. The biggest lateral displacement occurrs near the excavated surface, for-11.7mm. The land subsidence increases as the distance that away from the edge increases, for maximal about10mm.but the sphere of influence is limited, approximately four times the depth of excavation. There are two large horizontal displacements, one is located in the depth near the excavation face. It’s a deep bulge type. The other is located in the depth near the bottom of the pile. Both of the displacements that below the above the depth are decreased. The maximal rebound that occurs in the centre of the foundation pit is about50mm. The minimum amount is18mm, occurs in the edge.Numerical simulation results obtained basically consistent with the actual project data obtained shows that the simulative calculation accuracy can be guaranteed to practical engineering application, which has certain reference and the instruction significance. |
