Wind energy is a kind of both economic and environmental energy. And it can be recycled. Compared with the traditional energy, wind power is not dependent on external energy, no fuel price risk, stable power generation costs, no carbon emissions, as well as the advantages of wind power is widely dispersed. Wind electric power generation is the main form of wind energy utilization, and blade is the core component of the wind turbine. The good design, superior performance and reliable quality are important factors to ensure its normal and stable operation. Blade design and manufacturing capacity in China is relatively backward. Compared with abroad, the gap of design technology, especially in the area of aerodynamic and structure design is still huge. The trend of Large-scale wind turbines needs higher requirements of blade performance. Research of advanced technology of blade structure and aerodynamic design has the vital significance to improve the ability of independent research of wind power industry in our country.This paper is about optimum design and aerodynamic characteristics analysis of1.0MW wind turbine blade. Based on the theory of blade aerodynamic design of wind turbine, from several big aspects of the wind turbine basic parameters, blade number, tip speed ratio, blade wheel diameter, airfoil and airfoil interpolation determine the basic parameters of wind turbine blade. As the same Reynolds number and the wind speed is guaranteed, the flow field around two-dimensional airfoil for NACA4412of different attack angle is simulated by FLUENT software, which can be got lift coefficient, drag coefficient, lift drag ratio, surface pressure distribution and velocity distribution. Compared with the calculated result from Profili software, and choose the optimal attack angle.Aerodynamic shape of wind turbine blade is designed on basis of Foline-Momentum Theory. It adopts Wilson method to establish blade shape design mathematical model and constraint condition. The parameters of shape for blade are calculated by MATLAB, and the chord length and torsional angle are revised by linear and fitting correction processing. And shape the tip by spline curve to get the data of shape which has good aerodynamic performance of wind turbine blade.The cross section curves of the blade are drawn, and then the blade solid model is established on basis of free surface modeling function of Pro/E, and wind turbine wheel hub model is also established. So the model of wind turbine blade wheel is established in this paper. Modal analysis of the blade and blade wheel is made by ANSYS to verify the model. Error of modal analysis for a single blade is avoided by analyzing the reasons for different natural frequency of modal analysis.
