Nowadays, Along with the development of shipbuilding,more and more electric power needed for Huge Tonnage ship. So the low Voltage Electric Power System can not be suitable for Huge Tonnage ship. And High-Middle Voltage Electric Power System is widely used for Huge Tonnage ship in international shipbuilding for its Safety and highly active and economical. The Medium Voltage Power System simulation and testing platform is designed for training Marine Engineering students. So they can be familiar with the operation of Medium Voltage Power System vessel. And they can easy to understand the meaning and influencing factor of each parameter and the relationship of each equipments. Also they can easy to grasp the structure diagram of Medium Voltage Power System. Let them totally know what do the Medium Voltage Power System do. To lay a solid foundation for their future works in the ship.In terms of hardware, this paper studies Middle Electric Power System and GAC-21Power Management System. The paper analyzes its principles, structure, function and equipment parameters. According to the characteristic of Medium Voltage Power System and GAC-21Power Management, The paper make Medium Voltage Power System simulator which is made up of nine power plants. The paper code every component according to their attribute. Basing on calculating the number of DI, DO, AI and AO, the paper make corresponding number of card and draw wiring diagram of every power plant. Then using the CAD to draw the electric plant simulation diagram and network structure diagram.Basing on referring to the case of simulator model of WHUT and analyzing mathematics model of generator, this paper use Fortran software to write the Middle Electric Power System program. This paper model the three order model of synchronous generator, main-generator starting, generator field system, transformer and governor. Then this paper repeatedly run and debug until the whole process simulation system achieve the starting and stopping of DG and EG also paralleling and power loading functions and auto synchronous/trip and UNBALANCE and so on.
