With the development of electronic connector to miniaturization, modularization,intelligent, the quality of terminal crimping equipment is higher. Terminal crimpingequipment gradually develop to fully automatic, high precision, high speed and intelligent.With the development of electronic information industry, there are new requirements to cablequality and variety. There are the length, wire width, wire quality, wire diameter and so on.Because of the current wire processing is main manual and semi-automatic, there are lowefficiency, high cost and low quality, so the market is urgent for fully automatic machine.In view of the situation, this paper proposes the research of automatic cable machinewhich can wire feeding, cutting, stripping, crimping and high-speed, low vibration. In thispaper, the design of automatic and high speed cable machine mainly consisted of three parts.(1) In view of the process steps and technical performances, this paper proposes theoverall body layout of automatic and high-speed cable machine. Firstly, the structure of cutteris designed and the synchronous belt is calculated. Secondly, in order to simplify the structureof wire pressure, horizontal row pressure is proposed by analyzing the advantages anddisadvantages of semi-automatic cable machine. Thirdly, on the basis of ultra-high speedterminal machine, the conveyed structure of fully automatic cable machine is proposed bycombining conveyor belt with the delivery of finished goods. Finally, the main standard partsof system have been calculated exemplary.(2) To solve the problems of noise and vibration, the dynamic characteristic of cablecrimping body is analyzed. The finite element model of the body is established based onAnsys Workbench platform. The six natural frequencies and modes of the body are extractedand analyzed, finally, three schemes are proposed. The best rib board layout is obtained bymodal analysis, and then by analyzing the geometries and space of ribs, the best dynamicperformance of the body is obtained.(3) According to the market requirement for crimping aesthetics and pull-off force, theoptimum geometric parameters of the upper mold is selected by analyzing the geometricalparameters R,B,A and the crimping damage value. By the harness crimping process dynamicsimulation, distributions of equivalent von mises stress at different sites and directions ofcrimping and crimping evolution are obtained. Finally, according to the finite results ofexperiments are carried out feasibility study, include aesthetics and pull-off force text.
