The Research On Ultimate Kitchen Design Based On The Woju Communities’ Life

The Woju Communities are special groups who need to be focused on in today’s Chinese society, they live in first-tier cities which have high population density, facing high house prices, living in the limited housing environment. In my study, the target population are the20-30-year-old Woju Communities, most of them are just getting started in their career and the newly independent life with very small family. Due to the limitations of the living environment, a weak sense of home, working and living conditions and other reasons, they present a unique lifestyle and their kitchen lifestyle is the important part of this study. Their kitchen lifestyle needs are aspiring to normal family kitchen life, perfect kitchen space and equipment, safe, healthy and high quality diet, streamlined family kitchen processes and the necessary communication.In this study, I made the lifestyle theoretical research firstly. On the basis of understanding this, I made quantitative and qualitative researches on the kitchen life-centered lifestyle of Woju Communities. Then I concluded the characteristics of Woju Communities’lifestyle, and analysed their needs of kitchen life. Based on this, I putted forward the ultimate Kitchen concept and built the ultimate kitchen system model to resolve the kitchen life needs of Woju Communities and allow them to return to normal family life. And I brought up three design elements of ultimate kitchen including the space, the operating behavior, function facilities and five design principles which are space-saving principles, principles of larger visual space, principles of functional integration, principles of simple operation process, principles of flexible change. Finally, according to the conclusion of this research, I carried on the study design which enrich and validate the conclusion of the study.
