Along with the national construction of infrastructure industry swift andviolent development, concrete structures during early and late operation often arise inthe crack, and when these diseases further development may endanger the wholebuilding structure safety. Therefore, the analysis of concrete structure crack and thecause of disease, being able to timely monitoring of these diseases and putting forwardreasonable scheme for crack treatment are the problems that need to be solved in thewhole project.First of all, after a lot of indoor tests on concrete mechanics property analysis of concrete, the28d age is an important mechanical properties of concrete performance of watershed,28d before the mechanical properties of the volatility ofthe larger, then the concrete to produce cracks in early period, and then its performance tends to be stable.Because concrete structures with large volume, traditional single artificial visualmethod has been unable to meet the current needs of the construction industry.It bringsgreat changes in the detection of concrete cracks with the development of optics,mathematics, physics and the technology of the computer.This thesis studies the width of concrete crack. We preprocess the image withsmoothing, sharpening and contrast enhancement. The edge is identified in the accuracyof a single pixel with the extraction of the classical edge operator, gradient threshold.The traditional focus operator sub pixel extraction methods were discussed, and it isapplied to the crack edge extraction. It improves the crack detection precision with theobtained of the decimal class edge pixel coordinates.Finally, the variance of the image has been calculated. The dissertation also presentsa new method for estimating the width of the crack. The calculation accuracy has beenreached the goal.The software has been development with the C++language.Itcontributes to the realization of the intelligent monitoring.
