Gas turbine engine is a Hi-tech power machinery that is wide used in aviation, shipping,chemical industry, power plant and transportation of petroleum and natural gas. Thecombustor is an essential component of Gas turbine engine, so combustor optimized designshould significant improving Gas turbine engine performance.The combustor’s combustion processing included series of interactions, such as gas flow,heat transfer, mass exchange and chemical reactions, that made it more complex than theother any component of a Gas turbine engine and very difficult to investigate. Therefore, it isof great significance to set up a combustion test bench for combustor design and study. Inaccordance with the development trend of modern gas turbine engine technology, a buildupcombustion fundamental test bench is based on the structural characters of a camshaft annularcombustor. The test bench functions including the investigating NOx emission duringcombustion process, measuring flame length, measuring flame field temperature andanalyzing components of combustion field. The test parts can be interchanged so that isconvenient to measure combustion performance of various components configuration.Structure design of the test bench is conducted in this paper; instruments are selectedaccording to bench’s functions and geometrical sizes of the platform are given based onexperimental conditions. Numerical simulation of the test bench is carried out using standardk-ε turbulence model by aid of CFD software, simplified rapid reaction PDF model,upwind difference scheme for governing equation discretion, standard wall function for walltreatment and SIMPLE algorithm for equation solution. Geometrical dimensions of the testbench are obtained through comparison of simulation results. The final dimensions areestablished through theoretical calculation of strength, deflagration and heat exchange basedon given geometrical measurements. Three-dimensional structure design drawings andtwo-dimensional maching drawings are presented in this paper. It’s foundation withLabVIEW software, a monitor system of measuring parameters of the test bench isestablished to consummate design of the test bench.
