The ship structural deformation is one of the crucial technologies related to the accuracyof ship navigation and alignment system. Along with the development of modernscience-technology, shipborne advanced weapons emerge in endlessly, and the alignmentaccuracy of shipboard weapon system is highly required. To provide a reference for building aunified space benchmark on the whole ship and further realizing high precision of the initialalignment of the equipment and measurement system, this paper has done some researchesabout the ship structural deformation. The main contents are as follows:1. The application of the deformation simulation technology, as well as the developmentof the measurement technology and the filtering technology are introducted. The advantagesand disadvantages of the various methods,as well as some research hotspots, are summarized, and the significance of the present work is discribed.2.Based on the finite element simulation technology, the research about the shipstructural deformation is expounded. The magnitude and transient analysis of the deformationto a typical naval ship is presented. Methods of extracting the deformation response are given, according to the basic principles for deformation analysis. The pridiction and analysis of thedeck structural deformation in irregular waves are performed, and the discipline andcharacteristics of the deck deformation are obtained.3.The study about the ship structural deformation based on the Kalman filteringtechniques is presented. Laser gyroscopes are used to gauge the change of the angular velocityof the space coordinate system. Along with the establishment of reasonable models of the hulldeformation and the gyro drift, the ship dynamic deformation can be estimated by the use ofthe Kalman filtering technique.4.Spectral analysis about the hull deformation response is presented. The comparison ofstatistical values of the deformation response predicted based on different analysis techniquesare given, which verify the feasibility and practicability of the presented deformationpredicting technology.
