Abstract/Summary:
Spacecraft rendezvous and docking is a key technology for manned space flightproject. Almost all manned space missions (such as space shuttles transport, largespacecraft in orbit assembly and long-term operation of spacecraft in orbit servicing,space rescue、 landing on the moon and interstellar travel, etc.) would applyrendezvous and docking technology. The rendezvous and docking mission, includingrendezvous and docking、joint flight、separation and a series of tasks such as orbitaltransfer after the separation, and the docking mechanism plays an important role inthe series of tasks. In this paper, we’d like to design a docking mechanism,which isbased on the third-phase project of lunar exploration research,to meet therequirements of functionality and performance indicators.First of all, making research in strong collision and weak collision of rendezvousand docking institutions that is at home or abroad. According to the technicalrequirement of the docking and sample transferring mechanism,we makedemonstration on the content of the research and finally get a suitable program forlunar exploration program. According to the technical indicators and performancerequirements of lunar exploration program,we make specification of the docking andsample transferring mechanism in load requirements、power requirements、hours ofwork、structure contours size. On this basis, we will design a docking and sampletransferring mechanism meeting the requirements of the indicators.As large vibration will ocure to aircraft launching and the earth-moontransferring process, Hypermesh, Nastran, Patran etc finite element software areneeded to analysis mechanical properties of the structural model in order to ensuresufficient strength and stiffness, and can avoid the inherent frequency of structuremodel is close to the excitation frequency of the rocket launchers.After the completion of Finite element design of the docking mechanism, spaceclosure vector (the space polygon) equation is applied to determine the point ofcontact of the active part and passive part of the docking and sample transferringmechanism. Then we use the Newton-Euler method to establish the kinetic equationduring various stages of the docking process.Based on the completion of the Mathematical Model, to ensure that the sampletransferring is successful, the whole model needs to be dynamic simulation. Before the simulation,the simulation environment and model parameters needed to be defined,and we would conclud the successful criterion of docking and transferring of thedocking mechnism, and then take limit conditions of single variable andmulti-variable combination of conditions to simulate and analyze.After getting the limit of single variable, with the variable sensitivity analysisand optimal design, we get initial conditions of combination conditions witch canensure the docking successfully. And then we use the Monte Carlo method to verifythe reliability of the docking and sample transferring process in the initial conditions.
