| With the popularity of the private cars in China, the safety of child occupantsgets more and more people’s attention. The number of children casualty could bedecreased significantly by using child-safety chair correctly. Currently theinstallation method of some kinds of child-safety chair saled in the market is complexand may result in the misuse of child-safety chair. The national standard namedRestraining devices for child occupants of power-driven vehicles which is the firstdesigned for the safety of child occupants has been putting into practice since July1,2012. In this background, a new multi-functional child-safety chair which is suitablefor children aged0-3is developed in this paper.The multi-functional child-safety chair developed in this paper can be used incars and baby carriages. In addition, the backrest angle and headrest height of thischild-safety chair is adjustable. This child-safety chair has ISOFIX attachment device.The structural design and the sample preproduction of this child-safety chair havebeen accomplished. The finite element simulation models of this child-safety chair,sled test seat and seat belt have been built by using Hypermesh software. Simulationanalysis has been done according to the dynamic test requirements of the nationalstandard. Then, some design parameters of this child-safety chair, such as the stiffnessof the sled seat cushion, the stiffness of belt and the stiffness of top tether strap, havebeen studied to analysis the injuries of child dummy in frontal impact. The finiteelement models of the rear impact and side impact were also established and theprotect effect for children was studied. This paper is also on the research of the testdesign about this child-safety chair according to national standard "restrainingdevices for child occupants of power-driven vehicles" and other relevant literature.This paper makes a detailed introduction of sled test and this will offer a lot ofexperience for follow-up test.The research results indicated that this seat can be easily installed in cars andbaby carriages and this seat can protect child well in frontal impact, rear impact andside impact. This child-safety chair had sufficient strength in collision. The researchresults of this paper had reference value for further research. |
