The Research Into The4D Cinema’s Interior Design For Geographic Museum

Geological Museum is considered as an important place collect minerals, rocksand fossils specimens, showing geological and geomorphological changes, as well asrelated research and science. As of January2013, China has3,589museums includingmore than100geology museum. With the development of social and scientifictechnological, the use of4D theater has become a conventional way to demonstratethe characteristics of complexity and to format geological and geomorphological.Therefore, the construction of4D modern geological museum cinema has become anindispensable part, but the related research is still relatively scarce.Based on this background, this paper first started to search and classified therelevant literature on4D theater interior design. Define the definition of interiordesign and4D cinema. On this basis, we propose the interior design concept andmethod on4D Geological Museum Theater, combined with the theory of psychologycognitive to layout the visual design such as color and light and so on. Then, stated todesign the acoustic from the following aspects, the characteristics and adaptationrange of the sound-absorbing material, calculation method of reverberation time,noise control. Finally, we focus a case study on Zhangjiajie Geological4D Museum,according to geological features and design concept, analysis the4D cinema fromthree aspects, overall interior design, visual design and acoustical design.First, in the process of design, we should insist the following principle, layoutoverall, functional distinction, people-oriented, low-carbon green, personalizeddesign, at the same time, while upholding the integrity, hierarchy, audio-visual andhyperspace interior design principle. Overall, we need to analysis the issue inconjunction with macro and micro perspective, scrutiny overall and detail.Second, cognitive psychology perspective should be fully considered in thevisual design process, the primary hue is better to be cool color, which could echoeswith the whole hue perfectly, and artful integrate the topography color element.Third, the acoustic design has play an important role in interio r design, we mustbe cautious to handle the background noise, control the reverberation time, adjust theuniform distribution of live sound field. While in the decoration, the selection ofsound absorption material and layout of audio equipment should from the perspective of sound effects, try to improve the theater acoustic condition, so as to achieve highersound effects.Fourth, the4D theater of Zhangjiajie Geological Museum finally choose blue andgray as the basic color for4D Museum. Mainly use the white light downlights on theceiling, while the side wall use the blue lights. After comprehensive comparison ofvarious types of sound-absorbing material,4D cinema select to use oak and silicateacid as the main sound-absorbing material.
