Asphalt pavement have many advantages comparing to other types of pavement. However, part of asphalt pavement appeared a lot of early disease after the highway was built and put into operation. The cause of disease has four aspects:material, design, construction and external effect, and the main factor is inadequate compaction for construction. Considering that asphalt mixture is a kind of temperature sensitive materials, asphalt pavement temperature field will affect the properties of asphalt pavement. There is such a direct relationship between the characteristics of asphalt pavement and compaction effect that the prediction is very important for temperature field for asphalt pavement construction.In this paper, the temperature field for asphalt pavement construction is simulated using the finite-difference method, which is validated by measured temperature field for asphalt pavement construction site. The paper firstly introduces three basic modes of heat transfer and differential equations for asphalt pavement of unsteady heat conduction problems; and then with the help of the thought of finite-difference numerical solution, the discrete equation of the inner and boundary nodes for asphalt pavement of two-dimensional unsteady heat conduction problem are drawn by the differential equation for asphalt pavement unsteady heat conduction problems; and the simulation program of temperature field for asphalt pavement construction is programmed combined with the material properties, boundary conditions and initial conditions of model time; and the temperature field for asphalt pavement structure construction and bridge deck pavement construction is simulated using the finite-difference method, which is validated by measured temperature field for construction site. The results show that the numerical analysis method and programs could reasonably simulate the temperature field of asphalt pavement construction.Finally, the main factors and the distribution law of temperature field for asphalt pavement construction are analyzed with the help of program.
