This paper mainly presents the self-developed program called3D Visualized MonitoringSystem (3DVMS) and its consummation and improvement based on its previous stage status inthis study. In terms of the optimization of this program, for the purpose of the verification of thereliability of the3DVMS and the research of the excavation deformation and failurecharacteristics under the effect of pit environmental and site loading, several physics experimentsin the laboratory and the following comparison and analysis with3DVMS are conducted in thispaper, drawing the corresponding conclusions. In addition, the experimental error factors in thelaboratory are analyzed, after which feasible solutions and measures are proposed. Finally, inaddition to summarizing the results and conclusions of the study, the study’s developmentorientation recommendations in the future are proposed.The introductory section has summarized the current state of development of the excavationworks at home and abroad, emphasizing the importance of the study of Excavation EngineeringSafety and Disaster Prevention, and has analyzed the pit collapses on domestic. Currently,domestic excavation engineering monitoring and early warning system is not perfect, theFoundation Pit supervision needs to be improved. Thus, this chapter describes the importance ofstudying pit damage.This paper describes the methods of pit deformation and failure characteristics. First,software systems and hardware systems consisted of laboratory equipment,3DVMS softwareand research technology roadmap are described in detail; Then the idea of the study has beendescribed considering the two systems. In this paper, pre-treatment of3DVMS, finite elementanalysis and the post-processing module haven been introduced, and the software inadequacieshave been improved, The most significant improvement in the entire optimization process is toadd the two functional modules in the post-processing, i.e. the structural deformation diagramand dynamic presentation graphics; On the other hand, we have realized the reformer on theoverall framework of the system and the process sequence standardization. Therefore, thisprogram is more widely to meet the requirements of the engineering field.In the experiments, the foundation pit of the laws of deformation and failure characteristics havebeen discussed in a single clue in the case of the same hardware and software environment. Eachset of experiments has been combined with visual warning analysis with3DVMS program andcomprehensive discussion and research have been made. Pit deformation failure model can be reflected by the experimental studies, which proves the feasibility of the visual warning. Inaddition, based on the theory of experimental error, a brief error analysis of physical experimentshas been made.3DVMS program is proved to be a suitable program for the excavation engineering real-time monitoring and early warning and it will have a broad application prospects through theresearch, analysis and verification of physical experiments...
