Currently,the output torque and speed of traveling wave rotary ultrasonic motors all comefrom the elliptic motion and friction driving in the stator surface and the local contact areas inrator.This local contact areas friction driving method is the main reason for the bottleneck ofoutput torque and service life by ultrasonic motors.Based on this,the essay puts forward andresearches the structural model in vibration of ultrasonic motors whose stator and rator all usepiezoelectric vibrotor.According to matching and assembling the starting location of the statorand recording the corner parameters of the rator in real time and the piezoelectric stator andpiezoelectric rator,it makes the piezoelectric stator and piezoelectric rator keep the drivingcondition of vibration model chimeric each other.It can be expected that this method couldovercome the shortage of the traditional traveling wave rotary ultrasonic motors and improveenergy utilization efficiency、produce bigger torque output、enhance the service life.This thesis focuses on the design of raveling wave rotary ultrasonic motor with itspiezoelectric stator and piezoelectric rator’s modes of vibration gear revolves each other,studieson its model design,simulation,and driving.The following are the cheif research achievementsand work of this thesis.First,the working principle,structure characteristics and application of the traveling waverotary ultrasonic motors are introduced, and current research,development staus iscomprehensively discussed.The existing problems of the traveling wave rotary ultrasonic motorsare pointed out.Nest,the mechanism of traveling wave rotary ultrasonic motor with its piezoelectric statorand piezoelectric rator’s modes of vibration gear revolves each other is studied,and the theoryspeed of its is mainly discussed,and it is compared with traditional rotary type of the travelingwave rotary ultrasonic motors.The amplitude of the piezoelectric vibrator is also discussed andsystematically introduces the voltage of piezoelectric vibrator.Third,this essey is mainly by the60mm’s ring-type ultrasonic piezoelectric vibrotor forobjiect of study.to diameter is60mm ultrasonic piezoelectric vibrator as the research object,andfinite element analysis software ANSYS10.0is used to finish the vibration simulation analysis,further discusses different material parameters and different structural parameters’s influence on them.At the same time,preloading loaded to the piezoelectric rotor is finished preliminarystatics simulation analysis,and find out the preloading between precompress loaded to thepiezoelectric rotor and precompress loaded to the web.At last,the impedance method is used to test frequency of ultrasonic piezoelectric vibrator,the results is compared with finite element simulation,and finds basic consistent conclusionbetween them,and the correctness of the finite element simulation analysis is proved,too.At thesame time,speed test for the samples shows:its output rotate is28r/min when two phaseexcitation voltage only adds to the piezoelectric stator;when both piezoelectric stator andpiezoelectric rotor are added to two phase excitation voltage,its output rotate is clearly faster butit runs roughly and its noise is lager.
