Deep foundation pit engineering is an underground space and its support system supporting below the surface. Deep foundation pit support can ensure the smooth progress of the excavation and foundation construction and the security of the environment around foundation. It is retaining, reinforcement and protection measure used in foundation wall and the surrounding environment.This paper combined with a foundation pit support engineering designed by Design Institute of Hebei Metallurgical Engineering instances, based on the geographical location of the project, the surrounding environment and the construction technology and construction requirements, designed and optimized the pile retaining structure to come to the best design. It can provide some useful reference for the design of similar projects support program.The research findings in this paper are:(l)This paper overviews the excavation engineering researches and applications at home and abroad, and analysis the research status and design methods of a soldier pile retaining structure.(2) According to the actual conditions of a project in Handan City, this paper selects the excavation support programs and then designs and optimizes them.(3) Using the designed foundation bracing program to support the construction on the pit.(4) Monitoring the pit and analyzing the monitoring results to ensure the smooth progress of the program of support.
