Space Layout And Form Research Of Wuhan Subway Station

The subway plays an important part in the development of urban transport. Itssignificance lies in not only improving the urban traffic congestion but also involving theoverall urban planning and development.An increasing pace of urbanization makes the original urban population and trafficcontradictions increasingly prominent. The original urban structure cant’t meet people’sdemand, because the modern city need to constantly update and expand. Wuhantransportation is facing great pressure, such as dysfunction of the road, low efficiency ofpublic traffic, traffic congestion and etc. Problems like how to change the existing trafficenvironment and make the passengers enjoyable during the journey become increasinglyurgent.This paper discussed the method from space interface and station node of Wuhansubway by using the literature research, comparative research, case study method and othermethods with research selection of subway line1and2to investigate and analyze the spacelayout, passengers flow, public facilities and others. Then through personal experience andtheoretical analysis to reveal the problems existing in the design, it analyzed how tocoordinate the integration strategy of relation between the subway space and people, andoffered feasibility studies of the plan with combination of theory and practice as the researchroute.At the same time, this paper wished to discuss more from the need of people’s travel,priority principle of traffic functions coordination of subway station, problems thinking andanalysis of the people-centered prospective. It also focused on the subway surroundingenvironment, entrance, inner space layout and cultural properties and etc. Through theresearch of the subway station, it can adjust and upgrade the industrial structure along thesubway lines to promote the harmonious development of Wuhan rail transportation.
