Increasing environmental pollution, electric vehicles obtained the rapid developmentdue to its zero emissions and pollution-free, however, power battery, energy source of electricvehicles, has been the bottleneck of the electric car development. Batteries and battery energymanagement system (BMS) become the key to solve this problem, and more and more get theattention of people. This project root in university-enterprise project of hebei university andSail battery co., Ltd,—"based on the64V/60Ah battery management system",suitable forelectric vehicle.In the begining of the paper describes the parameters and performance of the electric carand battery management system and the comparison in the Different types of power batteriesBattery management system was put forward using integrated chips scattered dataconcentrated BMS overall design scheme of data processing.For each monomer batteryequipped with battery management chip BQ27541to collect the basic information of thevarious single battery, and then sent to the BMS control chip (MC9S12XS128Freescale) forprocessing calculation, thus it is concluded that the battery and battery soc work status andother information. Center for the CAN bus and electric vehicle controller is designed forcommunication, realize the control of the vehicle.In hardware design the integrated chipBQ27541battery monitoring data, the circuit design, the design of CAN communicationinterface circuit are introduced in detail using, as well as the related display board, the circuitdesign of safety switch, etc.Software, MC9S12XS128MCU internal resources are introduced,and according to the established algorithm,the flow chart of main program and eachsubroutine are written instructions.Finally, using the FeLiPho4battery joint debugging, testing with design of software andhardware system.System are revealed in the test design of BMS system can realize: Batteryinformation collection; SOH and SOC; Display the numerical SOC, BMS related functionssuch as fault alarm.
