With the gradual improvement of the power grid automation, more and morenonlinear electronic components have been widely used in power grid. It makes thesituation of harmonic pollution worse and people should pay more attention to harmonic.Harmonic detection is an important branch and precondition of harmonic research, howto analyze the components of signal quickly and get more detail information inside eachcomponent, is of great significance to harmonic’s research. For this point, this paperdesigned a system of harmonic detection based on ARM.Aiming to improve the accuracy of harmonic detection, this article uses the HHT(Hilbert-Huang Transform) algorithm to detect harmonic. This paper introduce thesystem from two aspects—the hardware and the software.For the hardware aspect, use ok6410development board (s3c6410(ARM11kernel)as the cpu) as the hardware platform, also design the signal acquisition module ofharmonic detection hardware circuit and use the proteus simulation software to test partof the circuit, the results prove the validity of the design.For the software aspect, this paper lists some classical harmonic detectionalgorithm, emphasis on hht algorithm. Aiming to solve the mode mixing of hhtalgorithm, this paper uses a method named masking signal to improve the hht algorithmand the simulation show that the problem have been solved. This paper designed thesoftware at PC computer and development board. At the development board, this paperdesigned harmonic generated interface and related applications. Use these softwaremodules to simulate the harmonic of power grid, sending data to PC computer bycombining IO extension module with rs232. Then analyze the data received and showthe harmonic signal components, signal amplitude frequency and other information inthe matlab gui interface. Besides, this paper explains some program code.Finally, in order to analyze errors of the system convenient, use the data we knowto test the system, the result of simulation show that the harmonic detection system wedesigned meet our demands.
