| Hydraulic transient is a complex process which is produced by the interactions amongthe water, machine and electricity. Its simulation and calculation are very important forhydropower plant’s designing and working. It will greatly reduce its construction cost andconstruction period at the beginning of its design, at the same time, can guide the safe andoptimal operation of the plant to enhance the economic performance.The paper recalls on the development of the research of hydraulic transient. On thisbase, summarize the research situation and development trend and raise the subject of theresearch. Based on hydraulics, automatic control theory and numerical analysis, this papersets up the whole mathematical models for the generating system, including pressure pipes,surge-chambers, hydraulic turbine, generator and governor, as same as the boundaryconditions. Combined with an engineering example, this paper develops the numericalsimulation software of hydraulic transient by OOT on C++Builder development platform.Based on the development of digital simulation software, this paper performs thesimulation of no-load disturbance and load rejection cases. By using simulation analysismethod for comparison, we can find better parameters of PID for fast followingsynchronizer of generators under no load condition. Influences of PID parameters andservomotor’s closing law on turbine load rejection characteristics are discussed in detail inthe simulation of load rejection.This paper has acquired some research results about the simulation of hydraulictransient. To a certain degree, it could provide a qualitative analysis and decision supportfor the station. |
