| Electric power is one of the world’s most widely used energy. So, it is crucial toensure the safe and stable operation of electric power system. With the development oftechnology, the protection devices have been developed from simple relays tomicroprocessor-based protection devices. Relay protection device, as the first defense ofthe power system, it is very important to test its function, found potential defects, ensureits normal and stable operation.With the rapid development of Chinese electric power system, Most of Relayprotection devices are microprocessor-based, the original relay Protection test softwareplatform is difficult to meet the actual needs in test logic, operational processes,human-machine interface. Therefore, to develop a new type of relay protection test systemsoftware platform is of great significance.This paper firstly analyzes the history, domestic and international overview of therelay test, and composites the advantages and disadvantages of those products, in order todevelop a new relay protection test system. This test system requires high real-timecommunication, clear test logics, and simple, smart human-machine interfaces. Next, thispaper analyzes various types of relay protection principle, designs test modules with theseprinciples, including Differential Protection, General Protection, Harmonic StackProtection and so on. Then, various test modules are developed in BCB platform by theform of "windows", and these tests are simulated to prove its higher reliability, betteraccuracy, and better real-time communication. Finally, this paper elaborates theperformance of the software platform under Windows operating system, points out that theinterface is simple and intelligence, test process is simple and clear, the anti-jammingcapability can meet the requirement. |
