Linear motor has the preponderance of higher speed, acceleration, driving precision andsystem rigidity when compared wish traditional driving mode. Permanent magnet linearsynchronous motor is outstanding on its high-thrust level, which made it suitable forheavy-load machine tool and high-speed transportation. However, it has a drawback of largethrust ripple, which deteriorates the thrust performance and increases the difficulty ofcontrolling.In The thesis, the reasons of the thrust ripple were analyzed, and the end-fore andslot-fore were detailed discussed. By means of transforming primary winding and secondarypermanent magnet to current layer, the mathematical expression of thrust, end-force andslot-force were deduced. And the mathematical model and mechanical motion equation weregiven out.Based on the APDL parametric design language, the finite element simulation ofpermanent magnet linear synchronous motor was finished. The simulation results revealedthe laws of the end-fore and slot-fore, and verified the correctness of the theory research.In The thesis, the optimization design of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor wasaccomplished. The methods of reducing thrust ripple were analyzed, and a method of phaseshift superposition was put forward to weaken the thrust ripple. Based on the method, a kindof U-shaped iron-cored permanent magnet linear synchronous motor was originally putforward, and both the finite element simulation and the experiment verified that it canlargely reduce the thrust ripple. The U-shaped Iron-cored permanent magnet linearsynchronous motor provides more ideas for the development and application of linear motor.
