Reservoir is one of the most basic infrastructure of water conservancy andhydropower. It plays a huge role not only in power generation, but also in flood control,irrigation, water supply, transport, aquaculture and tourism, etc. However reservoirearthquake as a seismic geological disasters, serious threat to the safe and stableoperation of the reservoir, greatly restricted the hydropower energy sustainabledevelopment and sustainable utilization of water resources. Reservoir earthquake have aclose relationship with the reservoir in geological environment, hydrological environment,soil environment and mechanical environment and so on many kinds of induced shockenvironment factors. Association rules as one of the most important tasks in data mining,is looking for a relationship between the data and data in Database. Association rules willbe applied to the reservoir earthquake, can plays an important role to effectively evaluateand forecast reservoir earthquake through the mining induced reservoir earthquakeinfluence factors and reservoir earthquake relationship.Based on the careful analysis and study of the reservoir earthquake and based on thecharacteristics of the data, this paper puts forward the application of association rulesmining in the reservoir earthquake, and carried on the detailed analysis and applicationdesign. Firstly it introduces the main project background and significance of the research.Then the theory of data mining and association rules are described in detail, especially forassociation rules in the most classical Apriori algorithm is the core idea and main stepson that one. After considering the reservoir earthquake situation, it has carried on thedetailed analysis and design, including demand analysis, general design, function design,and the reservoir earthquake data analysis and processing are discussed in detail. Finally,the sample application in the history of the three gorges reservoir earthquake based on association rules mining. On the system demonstration, and at the same time, respectivelyfrom the individual factors and the combination of the two factors and reservoir inducedearthquake in mining and analysis, a better understanding of reservoir earthquakehappened and occurred in the process of the objective law, for the construction ofreservoir induced earthquake prediction and evaluation model provides more scientificand reasonable physical basis.
